HENRY COUNTY FARM BUREAU FOUNDATION 2012 AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Five (5) one-thousand dollar ($1,000) scholarships have been established by the Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation and will be awarded according to the following criteria:
1. $1,000 will be credited to the account of the individuals selected and enrolled in an agriculture curriculum in any college. One half the amount will be credited the first semester and one half the second semester.
2. Applicants must be an "A" or "MM" Henry County Farm Bureau® member or dependent.
3. Applicants may be a graduating High School Senior OR a student currently enrolled in College or Technical School. (Must be enrolled in an agriculture curriculum)
*NEW* 4. Students are eligible to receive a maximum of two scholarships from the Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation.
5. Applicants may apply for the Wilbert & Carol Keppy Foundation Scholarship, as well as, the Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation scholarship. Applications will be judged separately.
6. Two (2) current letters of recommendation (as outlined in Section IV).
7. Current high school and college (if applicable) transcripts must accompany the application.
8. Applications must be typed.
9. Applications must be received or postmarked by February 29, 2012 to the Henry County Farm Bureau, 114 N. East Street, Cambridge, IL 61238. Applications are available at www.henrycofarmbureau.org or email kbhcfb@theinter.com to obtain the scholarship application.
10. Five (5) recipients and one alternate will be selected by a committee appointed by the Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation. The five applicants with the highest scores will receive a $1,000 Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation scholarship. Personal interviews of the finalists may be requested by the Foundation for a final selection.
11. Criteria for selection will be achievements in agriculture activities, leadership in school and the community, financial need, and scholastic achievements. Please be as specific as possible, points will be given for each question answered.
12. Names of applicants will be removed from the materials prior to evaluation by the selection committee.
13. Any portion of the scholarship that is not used for any reason will be returned to the Foundation.

WILBERT & CAROL KEPPY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Five (5) TWO THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLAR ($2, 475) scholarships have been established by the Wilbert & Carol Keppy Foundation and will be awarded according to the following criteria:
1. $2,475 will be credited to the school account of the five (5) individuals selected and enrolled in any 2 or 4-year college or technical school. One half the amount will be credited the first semester and one half the second semester.
2. Applicant must be a Henry County Farm Bureau® member or dependent.
3. Applicant must come from a farm family currently engaged in production agriculture.
4. Applicant can be majoring in any field, does not have to be Ag related.
5. Applicant may be a winner of a past Keppy scholarship and may apply each year, but may win only one Keppy scholarship per year. Recipients are eligible to receive a maximum of two (2) Keppy Foundation Scholarships from the Henry County Farm Bureau.
6. Applicants may be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in college or technical school.
7. Applicants may apply for the Henry County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship, as well as, the Keppy Foundation Scholarship. Scholarship applications will be judged separately.
8. Financial need will be a strong consideration. (Information will be kept confidential.) Selected applicants may be asked to provide tax forms for verification of financial information.
